Irma Moya Clarke, age 85, of Roslindale, MA, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025 at her home. She was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago to the late Federico and Mavis Clarke. Irma immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts in 1965 and worked at the New England Telephone Company for 40 years during that time she helped her siblings migrate to the America before retiring at the age of 55. After retiring Irma continued to work as a childcare provider and caretaker.
Irma was a loving, kind, nurturing, and giving person. Everyone that she came in contact with just adored and loved her. Her family was her pride and joy! They meant the world to her! Irma had a keen sense of humor and was always saying things to make you laugh and smile. She was the glue that held her family together.
Irma was a long-standing member of the Trinidad & Tobago Social Club, where she served as secretary. Those left to cherish her precious and fond memories are her two children, Luanna Clarke and Ricardo Clarke (Sharon) both of Boston, MA; six cherished grandchildren, Michael Livingston (Karen), Angela Isaac (James), Anthony Livingston (Chaka), Narissa Bryant (Antonio), Ricardo Jr. and Amari Harrison; eight adored great grandchildren, Victoria, Zion, Arianna, Danielle, Brielle, Jaylen, Ayden and Preston; two sisters, Anita Fleary, Louise Mitchell; two brothers, Glenn Clarke, and Philip Clasp and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bunny Clarke, Harold Clarke, Horace Clasp and one grandson Adarius Clarke
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing hour on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 10 -11 AM followed by a Religious Service from 11-12 PM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA. Interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale, MA.
