Gerard “Gerry” Joseph Lindsey, 64 , of Medway died suddenly February 7th at his home. He was the husband of Linda A. (Lalli) Lindsey for the past 41 years.
Born in Boston, June 4, 1960, the son of the late Robert and Joan (Lonergan) Lindsey, Gerry was raised and had lived in Medway for most of his life.
He was a 1978 graduate of Medway High School and a 1980 graduate of Wentworth Institute.
A civil Engineer, Gerry had worked on the “Big Dig” and the Central Artery projects in Boston.
Gerry was an Eagle Scout and an avid scouter. He helped start Post 367 in Medway and was very involved in numerous improvements at Camp Squanto in Plymouth.
He loved the Red Sox, doing yard projects, and was always willing to help anyone he could.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Jennifer Lindsey of Medway, Shawn Lindsey and his wife Brittainy (Knight) Lindsey of Northbridge, Matt Lindsey of Medway, Zachary Lindsey and his wife Megan (Antoniazzi) Lindsey of Medway and Brian Lindsey of Bridgewater. Gerry is also survived by his granddaughter Abigail Lindsey.
He is also survived by his sisters, Joan Smith of Tucson, Arizona, and Sharon Cooksey and her daughter, Jackie Cooksey, of Locust Grove, Virginia.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 14 at 10:00 in St. Joseph Church, Medway.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
