James Robert Coakley, 54, of Medway, died February 7 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of Karen A. (Parker) Coakley for the past 26 years.
Born in Fulda, Germany the son of Robert E. Coakley of Medway and Virginia (Burns) Hudson of West Barnet, Vermont, Jimmy was a lifelong Medway resident.
Jimmy was a 1988 graduate of Medway High School.
A Master Plumber, Jimmy was the owner of Coakley Plumbing and Heating of Medway. He had been the Chief Plumbing and Gas Inspector for the Town of Medway, and the Deputy Plumbing and Gas Inspector for the towns of Franklin, Medfield and Millis.
Jimmy loved cruising in the Oldsmobile. He liked to travel, especially to Aruba. He was an avid fan of the Patriots. He enjoyed fishing, golf league nights, James Taylor concerts, and playing pinball in the basement with friends and family.
Jimmy was the brother of the late Stefanie Grace Coakley.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jimmy is survived by his brother-in-law John Parker, Jr. and his wife Debbie. His three nephews, Hunter Parker, Jermiah Lynch and Jacob Lynch; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and countless friends.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held on Monday, February 17 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home ginleyfuneralhomes.com 3 Barber Street, Medway from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
A reception will follow at the Elks Club, 1077 Pond Street in Franklin.
