Dymple “Jo” King Wilson, 92, of Tifton passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Christopher House officiating. Mrs. Wilson will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Wilson’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 14, 1933, in Bartow County, Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of the late Morris King and Annie Lee Hand King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Wilson; one daughter, Barbara Charles; one grandson, Ricky Edward Charles; and one great-great grandson, Ty Owens. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Missy Owens of Tifton; one daughter, Betty Yancey of Tifton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Clark Allums, Stacy Cooper, Natosha Phillips and Carlos Morneo, and Brandy and Wade Barrett; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
