Howard F. “Howie” Silva
Howard F. “Howie” Silva, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 3, 2025.
Born in Lowell on August 30, 1962, he was the son of the late Peter M. Silva and the late Ann H. (Evans) Silva. He grew up in Lowell and was educated in the local schools before proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. After his time in the service, he returned home to Lowell, where he built his life and career.
Howie worked as a mechanic at Jiffy Lube, lending his skills to various locations over the years. In his free time, he found joy in playing online games and singing karaoke with his sister Laurie and close friend Pat.
He is survived by his children, Britney and Jacob; his siblings, Laurie A. Silva of Lowell and her companion Patrick Chandler, who was also one of Howie’s close friends; Peter G. Silva and his wife, Adrienne, of Lee, NH; Christine A. Hannigan and her husband, David A., of Methuen; and Christopher D. Silva and his wife, Gretchen E., of Sanford, ME. He is also survived by several close friends, as well as his nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, including his beloved Aunt Theana and cousin Manny Silva.
He was predeceased by his sister, Joann Lobao, who passed away in 2023.
