TEWKSBURY - Janet M. (Iovine) Panniello, age 65, a well known resident of Tewksbruy, died
Wednesday night, Aug. 9, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, after an brief illness. She was the
wife of Vincent E. Panniello, with whom she had celebrated a 43rd wedding anniversary this past
May 4th.
She was born in Cambridge, August 18, 1940, a daughter of the late Margaret (Iovine) Zirdinas,
and raised in Cambridge, by her mother and step father, the late Charles Zirdinas. She graduated
from Cambridge Ringe and Latin High School.
She began her career in the accounting department of Payne Elevator, and had later worked for
Purity Supreme’s, Little Peach headquarters in Billerica, in the accounting department. She later
worked at the Hallmark Store in Nashua, NH. She worked part time at the Jade East Restaurant,
as well as Vic’s Waffle House, both in Tewksbury.
She enjoyed travel, the beach, and her grandchildren.
She was described by her husband as having devoted her life to her family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Vincent S. Panniello
and his wife Kristen (Gunnis) of Dracut, Christopher M. Panniello of Tewksbury, James A.
Panniello and his wife Faith (Williams) of Rochester, NH; two daughters and a son-in-law, Denise
M. McHugh and her husband John “Jack” of Billerica, Jeneen M. Panniello of Nashua, NH; her
mother-in-law, Dorothy M. McMakin of Tewksbury; and seven grandchildren, Amanda, Jason,
Madison, Francesca, and Camden Panniello, Brianna McHugh, Alexis Mason; and many nieces,
nephews, and dear friends.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, Aug. 14, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Her burial was private. Memorials to the Leukenia Society of Mass., 495 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham, MA
