Lorraine (Carbone) Domigan passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Massachusetts General Hospital on February 6th. She was 70. A native of Revere, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle (O'Sullivan) Carbone.
Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. A 1972 graduate of Revere High School, she made her home in Medford with her husband Paul and their children. She enjoyed a 20 year career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Education, where she focused on adult community learning. She loved her coworkers and the people that they served, so much so that she came back to work part-time after retirement.
Lorraine made the most of her time away from work. She truly loved life and got great joy out of her time with her family and her dogs. A very active woman, Lorraine often could be found hiking with her dogs, dancing to Motown music, reading (especially romance novels), trying her luck at Encore and Foxwoods, and enjoying the fun that her grandchildren brought her.
The beloved wife of Paul Domigan, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Paul Domigan, Jr. and Danielle Domigan and her husband Mikael Vienneau. She was a loving grandmother to Liv, Levi and Emmy. Lorraine was a dear sister to the late Arthur Carbone and the late Mary Leon.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Lorraine’s funeral Mass in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford on Monday, February 17 at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lorraine’s name to Last Hope K9 Rescue, 71 Commercial St., #184, Boston, MA 02109.
