John O. Fisher

John O. Fisher, 79, of Middletown passed away on February 5, 2025 at The Waters of Chesterfield following an extended illness.
He was born on January 25, 1946 in Hamilton County, Indiana to the late Frederick O. and Alberta Fisher.
He worked production and was on the labor crew at Guide Lamp for 30 years. He was a member of UAW 663. Following retirement he worked for the City of Anderson as roof inspector and also worked at Oak Motors for several years.
He was a sports fanatic and loved racing. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Nila Elaine (Heagy) Fisher of Middletown; a son, Todd (Barbara “BJ”) Fisher of Anderson; a daughter, Latisha (Lisa Wood) Fisher of Anderson; a stepson, Derek (Marie) Heagy of Anderson; a sister, Char (Ed) Frazier of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Eric Featherson, Lindsey Featherson, Bailey Featherson, Jason (Rachel) Martindale, Jeffrey (Andria) Watts, and Jasmine Watts; a host of great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick O. Fisher; his mother, Alberta Kramer; a grandson, Jesse Stone; and a sister, Pamela “Pam” Lister.
Per John’s wishes he wanted there to be no visitation or service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society or the Animal Protection League.
