Ronald Lee “Ron” Garrett
March 2, 1941 – February 4, 2025
Ronald Lee “Ron” Garrett, 83, of Anderson passed away at his home following an extended illness surrounded by his family and dear friends.
He was born on March 2, 1941 in Livingston, Tennessee to the late Walter K. and Alvie (Heard) Garrett.
He worked 37 ½ years in sheet metal for Guide Lamp and retired in November 2002. He held several patents while working at Guide Lamp.
He was a longtime and faithful member of Columbus Avenue Church of Christ. He was a student of the Bible and taught the adult Bible class on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. He was an artisan of wood and metal.
Ron is survived by his sister, Joan (Bill) Mauck of Lee Summit, Missouri; a niece, Linsey (Jeremy) Henry and a nephew, Chris (Kim) Mauck all of Lee Summit, Missouri; a great niece, Lauren Henry and three great nephews, Griffin Henry, Caden Mauck and Ty Mauck; several other nieces and nephews; and his very dear friends, Cyndi and Randy Hudson and Jim and Kathy Ray all of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juanita Garrett; his son, Kenneth Lee Garrett; two brothers, Sam and Tony Garrett; and a sister, Cindy Garrett.
Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00pm-1:00pm at the funeral home.
