Joyce Woisard, 59 of Lakeland Florida passed away at home surrounded by her family. Born in Providence, RI, a daughter of the late David M. Woisard and Ethel E. Fountaine.
She was an avid softball player, loved the beach and watching the sunset whenever possible. Joyce had the gift of laughter and radiant spirit; she had a smile that could light up a room. She expressed herself through music, with Elton John being her top artist of choice.
Joyce is survived by her children Jamie Jaswell and her partner Anthony Deravile of Coral Springs, FL. Jonathan Jaswell and his wife Laura of North Providence, RI. She was the grandmother of Alyssa Costa, Austin DosSantos, Natalia Jaswell, Isabella Woisard, Briana Jaswell, Damien Deravile and Marcus Deravile.
She was the great-grandmother of Lorenzo, Tristan and Mila Costa. She was the sister of Linda Lawless and her husband Paul of Smithfield, RI. Dennis Woisard of Smithfield, RI. and Robert Fountaine and husband John from Woonsocket, RI, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the companion of Todd Teter. She was the mother of the late Mark Woisard and Michael Jaswell and sister of the late David Woisard, Jr. and Gloria Gangi.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be held February 17th from 9am to 11am at the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. A prayer service will be held at 11am.
