Mary T. Walsh, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. She was 98 years of age.
Mary was born in Boston on December 10, 1926, a daughter of the late Edward J. Walsh and Margaret J. (Adams) Walsh. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Girls High School in 1944. Mary worked as a stenographer at the Employers Group Insurance Company for 45 years. She loved to travel and served as a lector at St. Catherine's Church in Charlestown. She was a member of the Daughter's of Isabella #1 and the Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association.
Mary is the beloved daughter of the late Edward J. Walsh and Margaret J. (Adams) Walsh. She is the dear sister of the late William J. Walsh. She is the loving aunt of William J. Walsh, Thomas Walsh and his wife Jo, and the late Mildred "Mitzi" Moles. She is the great-aunt of Thomas Moles, Brian Walsh and his wife Kaitlyn, Stephanie McMunn and her husband Michael, Ashleigh Walsh, Matthew Spera, David Spera, and Daniel Spera.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's visiting hours on Saturday morning February 8, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
