Obituary

Bruno DiVito, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away at home on February 2, 2025, at the age of 64. Born in Fondi, Italy, Bruno immigrated to the United States at a young age and made Medford his home for many years. He was the youngest son of the late Ettore and Elsa DiVito. Bruno leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Vidalia (Reis) DiVito, and his devoted children: Gina DiVito Moran and her husband, John, of North Reading; Samantha DiVito and her husband, Sunghil Kwon, of South Korea; and Susan DiVito of New York City. Bruno was the proud "Nonno" of Henry, Noah, and Charlie Moran, and of Hana Kwon, and his love for his grandchildren was apparent to all and the center of his world.

Bruno was the dear brother of Stefano DiVito and his wife, Raffy; Ralph DiVito and his wife, Patricia; Mirella Sicari and her husband, Gaetano; Egeo DiVito and his wife, Karen; and Cynthia McIrney and her husband, Walter. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, as well as a wide circle of friends who cherished time with him.

Bruno was a self-taught, bold, and charismatic man with a unique sense of humor and a strong work ethic. He had a passion for good food, good music, history, travel, and classic films. Bruno could talk to anyone and he could dance to anything. His curiosity for life and knowledge was matched only by his love for his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was also the co-owner of DiVito Brothers Pizzeria, a local institution in Billerica, alongside his brother.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Bruno’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, February 6th from 5 to 8 PM. A service in celebration of Bruno’s life will be held on Friday, February 7th at 10 AM at Dello Russo, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a small gift made in Bruno’s name to the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc., 1661 Worcester Rd Suite 205B, Framingham, MA 01701.

Bruno’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in his grandchildren and in the hearts of all who knew him.
