Ernest L. White, age 91, recently of North Attleboro, a former longtime resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla E. (Knight) White, to who he was married for sixty-nine years.
Born in Mansfield, MA on May 18, 1933, he was a loving son of the late Ernest L., Sr. and Amy M. (Buckley) White.
Ernest grew up in Foxborough and was educated in Foxborough Public Schools. During the time of the Korean War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and prior to retiring, Mr. White was employed for forty years at the Foxboro Company.
A man who truly treasured times spent with his adoring family, Ernest was a Longtime member of the South Foxboro Union Church. He enjoyed engaging in projects around his home and when younger, played softball, bowled and golfed on the Foxboro Company Men’s League.
In addition to his wife, he was the devoted father of Dennis L. White of Attleboro, Deborah A. Maigret and her husband Raymond of North Attleboro, Kristian Barrette and her husband Timothy of North Smithfield and the late Richard A. White who died two days earlier on February 1, 2025. He was the dear brother of Mary Childs of Wrentham and is also survived by his loving 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted. Those wishing, may remember Ernest with a donation in his memory made to an organization to be announced.
