John F. Ruggiero, 83, of Bellingham passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, at his home surrounded by his wife and son. He was the beloved husband of Janet Miller Ruggiero for 56 years.
Born in Milford on November 6th, 1941, he was the son of Rico and Mary (Napoli) Ruggiero.
John was a resident of Bellingham for the last 56 years. He grew up in Milford and was a graduate of Milford High School class of 1959. He attended Worcester Tech. where he studied Drafting.
John proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era (1964-1966).
Before his retirement he worked at Boston Scientific in Natick in the Documentation Department. He previously worked at W.F. Wood Engineering in Holliston and started his career at Heald Machine Company in Worcester.
John was an avid New England Patriots and NASCAR fan. He was a Patriots season ticket holder for 29 years. He and his wife looked forward to their yearly vacation in Daytona Florida so they could attend the Daytona 500 NASCAR race, spend time walking on the beach, enjoying the ocean view from the hotel balcony, visiting relatives and sightseeing.
John enjoyed spending time at home drawing, painting, doing jigsaw puzzles and most of all spending time with his wife, son, and four cats.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving son, John J. Ruggiero of Bellingham, John is also survived by his brother Louis Ruggiero and his wife Sharon of Wentworth, New Hampshire, sister Rosemary(Ruggiero) Swift and her husband Les of Port St. Lucie Florida, Stepsister in-law Patricia Cahill of Attleboro, Stepbrother in-law Edward Cahill of Jacksonville, Florida as well as several cousins.
