Obituary


Andrew James Pullo, age 93, of Woburn formerly of Arlington, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Life Care Center of Stoneham, following a lengthy period of declining health. Andrew was born in Arlington, MA and was the third of three boys born to the late John F. and Maria (Favello) Pullo.

Andrew was a proud United States Army Veteran of the Korean War serving overseas in Yokohama, Japan. Following his honorable discharge and return to civilian life, Andy worked various odd jobs to put himself through night school. He graduated from Boston College with his Juris Doctorate Degree and spent his career with the IRS as an Estate Tax Attorney. Andy was a member of the Arlington American Legion Post 39, the Woburn VFW Post 543, the Woburn Elks Club and the Korean War Veterans of Massachusetts. He enjoyed being an active member of these organizations, marching in parades, and spending time at the Elks Club. He also enjoyed Italian food, pastries and the company of his family and friends.

In addition to his late parents, Andy is sadly predeceased by his brothers, John Pullo and Vincent Pullo, nieces Christine and Mary Elizabeth Pullo, and nephew Michael Pullo. He is lovingly survived by his nieces; Lisa Pullo-Groves of St. Joseph, MO, Betsey Pullo and Susan Pullo Murphy, both of Overland Park, KS, and Katie Davalos of Anderson, SC. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Nancy Pullo of Overland Park, KS as well as many loving great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday, February 7th, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with Military Honors and burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Andrew's memory to the Christine Lynn Pullo Memorial Scholarship, St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center, 1631 Crescent Rd., Lawrence, KS 66044-9889.

The family would also like to acknowledge and thank the staff at the Life Care Center of Stoneham for their kind and compassionate care given to Andy for the last several years.
