Diane S. Towle Ferguson, 70, passed away on January 29, 2025, at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Ferguson, with whom she shared 24 years of marriage.
Born on April 26, 1954, Diane was the daughter of the late John Hull and the late Phyllis J. (Marange) Hull. She grew up in Wakefield, where she attended the local schools before pursuing higher education at Emerson College and Wheelock College, ultimately earning her Master’s in Education.
Diane was a resident of Tewksbury for over 40 years. She had a deep love for reading, decorating, and crafts, particularly floral arrangements. Above all, she cherished her role as a mother.
She dedicated over 20 years of her career to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, working for DORSCE, where she helped countless families navigate child support issues with compassion and dedication.
In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by her children, John Towle and his wife Teresa Falco-Towle of New Hampshire, and Benjamin Towle of Tewksbury; her grandson, JJ Towle; her sister-in-law Francine and her husband Dion DiNatale of Wilmington; and her mother-in-law, Theresa Ferguson of Ocala, FL. She also leaves behind several cousins and dear friends.
Diane’s kindness, dedication to family, and love for the simple joys in life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
