Obituary

Judith “Judy” Ann (Holmes) Mucciarone, 84, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Born and raised in Franklin, MA, on January 13, 1941, to the late Urban Chester and Mabel Casey Holmes. Judy is predeceased by her husband of 62 years Conrad L. “Muchy” Mucciarone.

Judy is survived by daughter Marcia (Mucciarone) and her husband James N. Blanchard, along with their two children Carly Jaymes and James N. Blanchard V of Franklin; her first son Paul C. Mucciarone of Boston; her youngest son Gary J. Mucciarone and his wife Allyson L. Simon of Falmouth. Judy is sister of Barbara Pisani, Joyce Pisani, and Janice Faenza. Sister of the late Lois Burke and Joan Holmes. Judy enjoyed a rich family life with both her and Muchy’s sibling’s families, including many nieces and nephews.

Judy absolutely adored her grandchildren, Carly and Jamie, always greeting them with a warm smile and laughter. She was so proud to be their “Nana” and beamed with joy in their presence. Judy was actively involved in their upbringing, and she was a friendly face to many of their neighbors and friends. Judy adored her hometown Franklin community, including spending time with her BFF June and June’s family throughout many years of friendship.

Judy attended Franklin public schools, graduating from Franklin High School in 1958 and then graduating from Dean College. She is fondly remembered by classmates as a kind person. Judy and Muchy grew up in the same neighborhood, dated as young teenagers, remained in communication during Muchy’s service in the Navy exchanging many love letters, and eventually marrying in September 1963. Like many, Judy and Muchy endured the trials and tribulations of life’s journey together, as soulmates, they always found goodness in people. Judy is reunited with her true love, Muchy, in eternal rest now, may they dance together again in heaven with the same joy and love they once shared.

While the past few months of Judy’s life brought unexpected health challenges, she was blessed to receive excellent care and comfort from many wonderful medical professionals, her children and June. Of special note, Judy expressed gratitude for the care she received from the exceptional nurses at MRMC – for which her family is also eternally grateful.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation in Judy’s memory to the Epilepsy Foundation or UMass Milford Regional Medical Center towards nursing education or palliative care programs. https://give.epilepsy.com?https://foundation.milfordregional.org/

A private burial ceremony will be held at St. Mary’s in Franklin for her immediate family, with a Celebration of Life planned for a later date for relatives and friends.
