Richard J. “Ric” Jones, Jr., 76, of Bellingham, died Friday, January 31, 2025, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Louise C. (Lobisser) Jones for 42 years.
Born in Framingham on March 21, 1948, he was the son of the late Richard J. and Evelyn J. (MacCabe) Jones, Sr.
Ric grew up in Medway and resided in Bellingham for the past 23 years. He proudly served in both the US Army and the US Navy.
He worked as a cashier at Walmart in Bellingham for the past year and a half. For most of his life Ric drove a trash truck and was the former owner of RJ Jones Disposal.
Ric was not only a man of many hats, but also had a large collection of them. He loved music, camping, NASCAR, fishing, woodworking, science fiction, and had a collection of model cars. Ric also enjoyed playing cards with his family, and spending his free time on Facebook.
Ric was the life of the party known for his infectious laugh, and blunt demeanor. Often, you could find him in his shed with the music blaring. Ric had the biggest heart and tremendous love for his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Erin Maloney and her husband Michael of Bellingham, two sons Sean Jones and his wife Sheanna of Dudley and Brian Jones, and his two adored grandchildren, Camielle and Angelina Maloney.
He is also survived by two sisters Linda Toothaker and her husband Dicky of Millis and April Galante of Franklin, his brother Elward McFetridge of Milford, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, February 5 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m.
