Christopher A. McConnell, 54, of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Sherry E. (Pierce) McConnell. Though separated for many years, they carried on their relationship as best friends.
Mr. McConnell was born in Fall River, son of Paul L. McConnell of Westport and the late Diane E. (Miller) McConnell. He was a lifelong resident of Westport. A graduate of Westport highschool, he was a natural comedian who prided himself on his “class clown” legacy. Though naturally smart and clever, he spent his adult life as a self-employed electrician. Chris was happiest outdoors; He was an avid bow hunter, dirt biker, four wheeler, and loved riding his Harley Davidson whenever he could. His heart was the most fulfilled when helping everyone and anyone he knew, if a good chuckle could also be achieved; Chris was happy.
Mr. McConnell's greatest joy was spending time with family. A majority of his time spent with his nephew Jakoby. Walking Jakoby through life, similar as he did with his daughter, was what made him the most proud. He was an avid animal lover; often taking in any dog he could. His late dogs Midnight and Jake carried him through most years of his life. Their memories were always carried with him, wherever he went.
Survivors along with his wife and father include his daughter: Alisha-Lynne Isidore of Westport; his brother: James A. McConnell and his wife Christine of Westport; 3 nieces: Krystal, Alexis and Kayleigh; and a nephew: Jakoby. He was the brother of the late Kevin McConnell.
Services are to be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River, MA 02721; In honor of Chris’s love for animals.
