David F. Costa, 86, of Acushnet, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, January 30, 2025 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Ruth E. Costa, they shared 60+ years of marriage.
Mr. Costa was born in New Bedford, son of the late Francis and Diamondtina Costa and had been a longtime resident of Acushnet. He served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked as a military training instructor for the U.S. Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, David spent another 20 years working for the Department of Defense. David was also a retired Veteran. He enjoyed spending time with family.
Survivors along with his wife include his 2 sons: James D. Costa and David W. Costa and his daughter: Angela M. Harris; 6 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
