Peter A. Realini 77, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Tuesday January 28, 2025 at the Blaire House of Milford, following an illness.
Born June 30, 1947, in Milford, a son of the late Louis J. “McGuirk” and Emilia C. (Mongiat) Realini, he was a longtime resident of Franklin.
Peter was educated in Milford and Franklin schools where he was a graduate of Franklin High School. Peter retired from the General Motors Corporation having worked at both their plants in Framingham and Westwood.
A proud American, Peter joined the United States Army in 1966, he was stationed in Vietnam and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Marksmanship Badge, and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action. He was honorably discharged in May 1970.
Peter was a history buff, loved family celebrations and holiday meals. He could often be seen at his favorite locations in town, Honey Dew Donuts on West Central Street and The Rome Restaurant.
He is survived by many cousins, extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour Friday February 7th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 10-11AM.
His funeral service will take place at 11AM.
Burial with military honors will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford.
