Margaret “Peggy” Eisnor, age 77, formerly of Brockton passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Lincolnwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in North Providence, RI. She was the devoted companion of Tom Gibson.
Born in New Bedford, she was the youngest child of the late Thomas and Mary Dorothy (Morrill) Callaghan. Peggy is survived by her daughter Alyssa Eisnor and her wife Hilary of Cranston, RI; her siblings, Dottie Damon, Tom Callaghan, John Callaghan; five grandchildren, Sean Ryan and his wife Elisha, Amanda and her husband Reid, Nicholas, Rowan, and Emme; three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Maisie, and Nolan and many beloved cousins and nieces. She was predeceased by her son Sean, her sister Maureen, and her brother Jimmy, all of whom she is joyfully reunited with.
Peggy loved her people fiercely. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family and friends. She loved shopping, music, travel, and adventures, as long as she had great company. Her friends and family will remember the shopping trips, long phone chats, family parties, trips to Disney, and the occasional caper. Many credit Peggy as the “glue” that brought everyone together, even in her final days of life. She delighted in spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bringing them gifts and prizes, and reveling in the joy they brought her.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Peggy’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 10:00 am, in Saint Michael Church, 87 N Main Street, Avon.
Interment will immediately follow church service in Saint Michael Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
