NARA SAK

Son of Simone Mao (mother) and Yun Sak (father), Nara was born on 06/05/1957 in Kandal, Cambodia. He had 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 half sisters and 1 half brother. He was the oldest of the Sak brothers, 2 brothers had passed before him.
Nara was a survivor of the Cambodian Genocide. He fled Cambodia and ended up in Khao-I-Dang holding center, a refugee camp in Thailand before emigrating to the United States. He first lived in St. Paul, Minnesota before moving to Lowell, MA where he spent most of his life. Along with many health conditions, in 2020 he was diagnosed with dementia and spent the last 4 years of his life in the care of a nursing home. On January 26, 2025 he sadly passed away from heart failure.
Nara had a total of 6 children; 3 sons and 3 daughters. All 3 sons were born with congenital disorders and died very young. He leaves behind 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren.
