THOMPSON, CT – Joseph "Joe" Allard of Thompson, CT died Sunday, January 26, 2025.
He leaves Robin (Gerald) Brodeur and their children Abby (Jeremy) Bourgeois and Benjaminh Brodeur, Lori Allard, and Elice DelPlato and her son Jonathan. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Norma Allard. He also leaves his very close friend Eric (Erica) Streich and their children Lincoln and Beckett. Joe thought of Eric as a son.
He was born on October 30, 1963 in Worcester, MA. He was a 1981 graduate of Bartlett High School. He earned his Associate’s Degree from the New England School of Accounting.
Joe was a lifelong self-employed carpenter who worked for many years side by side with his best friend, father, and mentor Harry. Above all he accomplished in life he'll be remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humor, and his willingness to help others. He had a very generous heart, a trait his mother Norma passed to him.
Joe enjoyed photography, fishing, hiking, and hunting more for the company he kept than the activity itself. Throughout his life Joe volunteered with many organizations. He was a past master of the Cornerstone Quinebaug Masonic Lodge, #122 in Thompson, CT. He was a current member and treasurer of the Kosciuszko Society “Bush Hall”, in Webster, MA.
