Margie passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 19, 1928, in Springfield, Illinois to Charles and Margaret (Phalen) Radford. Margie received a scholarship to attend Sacred Heart Academy, where she graduated in 1947. Shortly after graduation, she married her childhood sweetheart Dominick Ciuffetelli and started her family, having Carole, Mark and Debra in her hometown of Springfield. In 1962, they decided to relocate to California. Margie, Dominick and the family originally moved to Santa Maria but shortly thereafter moved and settled in Ventura. They became members of Sacred Heart Church in 1963 and were very involved in parish and local activities. They also added their fourth child, Marla, to the family.
In addition to raising her children and keeping a wonderful and loving home, Margie joined the workforce, obtaining a position in the credit department at Montgomery Ward. She completed her Associate Degree in Accounting at Ventura College and after graduation, started a career in the
banking industry. Margie worked at several banks in the area throughout her career, finishing at Santa Barbara Savings and Loan in Ventura and retiring in 1991.
Margie and Dominick enjoyed several trips in retirement, including a trip to Europe and visiting relatives throughout the country. Margie loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader, and followed current events closely. She was a devout Catholic, praying the rosary daily and im-
parting her deep spiritual values to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings (Donald and Robert Radford and Lois Mendel) and her beloved husband of 62 years. She is survived by children Carole (Steve) Ramirez, Mark (Renee) Ciuffetelli, Debra (Mark) Fraser and Marla Ciuffetelli (Audrey Sandoval). She is also
