Homer William Baldree, 82, of Tifton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Interment will take place at a later date.
Born on February 18, 1942, in Cook County, Homer was the son of the late James Willie Baldree and Annie Lou Walker Baldree. He was preceded in death by several siblings.
A hardworking man through and through, Homer was the owner and operator of Baldree Roofing Company in Tifton before his retirement. Known for his tireless work ethic, he was often the first to arrive on the job and the last to leave, earning the respect of his customers and all who worked alongside him. A strong leader and steadfast provider, he devoted himself to ensuring the well-being of his family.
Beyond his work, Homer found joy in life’s simpler pleasures. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching classic Westerns. Perhaps most of all, he had a deep appreciation for cars, especially those that reminded him of his younger days—a passion he shared with those closest to him.
Homer’s legacy lives on through his family in love, including several children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
