Richard “Randy” Beaton of Essex, MA. passed away after a brief illness on January 12, 2025. He was born on August 29, 1938. Randy was raised in Manchester-By-The-Sea and was a graduate of Story High School class of 1956. He was the son of the late George and Edna Beaton.
He joined the U.S Navy at 18 and served aboard the USS Hazelwood before being honorably discharged and starting a career with the New England Telephone Co. Randy enjoyed traveling with his wife, family, and friends and was an avid reader and lover of history.
He became an instant father when he married his wife Mary Ann (Frontiero) Beaton who was widowed with two young children, and provided a loving home for them. Along with his wife of 57 years, he will be missed by his son Tom Beaton, daughter Krista (Beaton) Queeney and spouse Thomas Queeney, as well as three grandchildren, Shane Queeney, Fallon Queeney, Talia Queeney and her fiance Jordan Ferris, along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
