Obituary

Jeremiah (Jerry) Luke Yeaw, Jr., 57, of N. Scituate, passed away on January 27th, 2025 following a long illness. He was called home with his beloved wife by his side, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Providence on March 18, 1967, he was the son of the late Jeremiah Luke Yeaw, Sr., and Doris (Hainsworth) Yeaw. He was raised in Scituate and lived there his entire life.

Jerry graduated from Cranston West and was skilled in many trades. He was an accomplished carpenter, mechanic, wood crafter and so much more. Anything that needed to be fixed, you could count on Jerry to do it. Jerry spent the best working years of his life at Michel’s Power, Inc. working his way up from Operator to General Foreman in just a few short years. A proud member of Local 104 he was no stranger to hard work.

He also enjoyed his Harley Davidson, snowmobiling, hiking, skiing, and traveling.

A proud father, stepfather, and grandfather, he loved supporting his children and their milestones and achievements, sharing a special bond with each and every one of them. His children were his life and his grandchildren had become his heart. Jerry instilled in them a love for family traditions and adventures like annual holiday gatherings and family vacations to North Conway, NH. Not to be overlooked, his love of preparing and enjoying Italian food !

Jerry is survived by his lovely wife, Lori A. Yeaw, his son Jeremiah (Jeremy) C. Yeaw, and his wife Morgan, his daughter Courtney M. Yeaw and her significant other David Scott, his stepdaughter Katelyn E. LaRoche and her husband Matthew.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Jeremiah (Jeb) and his princess Penelope.

Jerry is also survived by his sister Diane S. Yeaw and her wife Pat, his very special nephew Adam Stockwell and his wife Michelle and many other nieces and nephews.

Jerry (aka “Big Guy”) also leaves behind his well-loved extended family Amy Salamon and her husband David along with their children, Emily and Nora.

We would be remiss if we did not mention his live-in mother-in-law, Anne E. Southern and his adored cat, Daisy Mae.
Jerry was a great man, taken from us too soon and will be missed by so many.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org
