John F. Daley II, 74, of Cherry Valley, passed away on Wednesday, December 21st at home. He leaves his brother-in-law, Paul Miller of Cherry Valley; his nephew, Paul Miller of Leicester; and four nieces: Meghan MacDonnell, her husband Robert, and their children Nora, Doreen, and John of Leicester; Maryann DeCell and her child Sam of Auburn; Tammy Louyakis, her husband David, and children Kayla and Alexia of Sturbridge; and Lisa Lafreniere, her husband Andrew, and their children Kathryn and Emily of Whitinsville. He was predeceased by his brother, Andrew J. Daley, in 2008, and his sisters, Karen A. Miller, in 2013, and Theresa M. Roth, in 2024. He was also predeceased by his great-nephew, Joseph P. Tomlin, in 2023.
John was born in Worcester, the son of John F. and Nora T. (Sullivan) Daley. A very simple and private person, he enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows, The Andy Griffith Show and Chronicle, with a cold glass of Coca-Cola. He was extremely proud of his Irish heritage and also enjoyed family vacations to Cape Cod and Disney World.
His funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
