Rosemary A. Calautti, age 88, a longtime Woburn resident formerly of Arlington, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by those she loved, Saturday, January 25, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Domenic F. Calautti, and together they shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Winthrop, Rosemary was the beloved daughter of the late Pietro and Concetta (Santosuosso) Riccobene and stepmother Mary Buttiglieri Riccobene.
Rosemary was raised and educated in Arlington and was a 1955 graduate of Arlington High School. She worked for many years as a secretary with the Dewey & Almy Chemical Engineering Firm of Cambridge. She also worked for a short period of time as a secretary for a local Aviation Attorney. Following retirement and in her leisure time, Rosemary enjoyed shopping, attending bingo, and was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins. Her greatest joy and primary focus was the wellbeing of her family. Family came first to Rosemary, and she cherished every moment with them. She always looked forward to the first Friday of every month when she got together with her cousins for breakfast and especially cherished preparing her home and hosting the family Christmas gathering which was her most favorite of the holidays. She was truly happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved. She will be greatly missed.
Rosemary is survived by her devoted children, Steven Calautti of CT, Paula DiChiara and her husband Stephen of Woburn, Nancy Sherburne and her husband David of Center Harbor, NH, and Joan Harkin and her husband Michael of Chelmsford. She was the loving grandmother of Andrew DiChiara and his husband Glenn, Samantha Eilam and her husband Oren, Kristopher Sherburne and his wife Jordan, Danielle Levinson and her husband Robert, Jamie Sherburne, Kasey and Matthew Harkin. She is also survived by her loving great grandchildren, Logan and Domenic Levinson, and Sloane Sherburne. Cherished sister of Josephine Mancini of Woburn and the late Peter Riccobene.
Funeral Services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday, January 31st, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home will be held on Thursday, From 4 to 7 p.m. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Rosemary's memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
