Margaret Ruth (Milnes) Bennett, 82, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Premier Rehab and Healthcare in Nashua, NH. She was born on December 31, 1942 in Canaan, CT, the daughter of the late Russell and Vesta (Roberson) Milnes.
Margaret was fondly known as Margy and Marge by those who were close to her, Margwoman by the Ladies Who Lunch, and Grandma GG by Mya. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing cribbage, going to concerts, traveling with her family, going to bookstores, Bluegrass, playing Bunco with the Bunco Babes, and especially spending time with family and friends. Doing these things without her and "Cocktails and 80s Saturday Night" will never be the same again.
She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, wit, wisdom, common sense, kindness, vibrance, and her live-and-let-live attitude. She was adored by all who knew her and considered a second mom by many of Trina's and Laura's friends when they were growing up.
Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Trina Bennett DeBoe and Laura Bennett, and Laura's wife, Melissa Healy; two granddaughters, Alison and Melissa DeBoe; great-granddaughter, Mya; and her beloved cat, Riley; as well as several extended family members and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, Malcolm Bennett, in December 2021.
Following cremation, there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the NH Food Bank, Planned Parenthood, or the charity of one's choice.
