Arma Jean Gray Bentley, 86, of Tifton passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joe Crews officiating. Mrs. Bentley will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Steven Barnes, Gary Mobley, Adam Crews, Marley Brown, Aaron Harris, Gage Morris, Clay Childers and Austin Morris will serve as pallbearers.
Born September 1, 1938, in Tift County, Mrs. Bentley was the daughter of the late Daniel Gray and Jennie Theus Gray. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vachel F. Bentley; one son, Larry Vernard Bentley; two daughters-in-law, Judy Bentley and Katherine Bentley; three brothers; and one sister. She retired from Carriage Cleaners; and she was a member of Lighthouse Harbor Worship Center in Tifton. She loved her grandchildren; and she enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling and playing slot machines.
Mrs. Bentley is survived by one son, Felton Bentley of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and Tim Morris of Ocilla; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Dana Bentley, Austin Morris, Laklin Morris, Ethan Morris, Gage Morris, Tiffany and Adam Crews, Danielle and Michael Arrington and Kayla and Clay Childers; and many great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
