Miguel Angel Gonzalez
November 6, 1975 – January 22, 2025

DRACUT - Miguel Angel "Mickey" Gonzalez, 49, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Christina F. Silveira-Gonzalez, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years.

Born on November 6, 1975, in Lowell, Miguel was the son of Suzanne (Beausoleil) Gonzalez of Lowell and the late Cesario Gonzalez. He grew up in Lowell, graduated from Lowell High School.

For over 25 years, Mickey was a dedicated representative of the Local 429 Laborers Union. He took great pride in his work and was deeply committed to the union and its members. His dedication and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on his colleagues.

Miguel had a vibrant personality and a gift for bringing people together. Known for his quick wit and infectious laughter, he was the life of every gathering. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially playing cards and sharing jokes. Mickey was the glue that held his family close, making everyone feel loved and supported.

In addition to his wife Christina of Dracut and his mother Suzanne of Lowell, Miguel is survived by his two cherished children: Alexcia Gonzalez, a student at Greater Lowell Technical High School, and Miguel A. Gonzalez Jr., a student at Saint Michael’s School.

He also leaves behind his ten siblings: Christine Gonzalez and her companion Jamie Torres of Nashua, NH; Maria Saengrat and her husband Pin Saengrat of Lowell; Gina Jimenez and her husband Rudy Jimenez of Lowell; Cesar Gonzalez and his wife Elizabeth Rocha of Dracut; Johny LeDuc of Lowell; Lisa LeDuc of Lowell; Gregory LeDuc of Litchfield, NH; Carmela LeDuc of Lowell; and Jolanda LeDuc of Lowell.

Miguel is also survived by his in-laws, Honoria and Joao Silveira of Lowell; Herberto Silveira and his wife Ruth Emily Silveira of Lowell; his cousin and dear friend John Diaz of Lowell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including Jeff Thomas and Aimee Searles who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

You are welcome to attend his visitation on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 01852. Procession to follow the visitation, to Saint Michael Church for his funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Burial will take place at the Oakland Cemetery in the spring. www.mcdonoughfuneralhome.com
