Gwen Cassa (McKay) Richter, 90, of Camarillo, California, passed away on January 15th, 2025 in Camarillo. Gwen was born in Detroit, Michigan to parents Marion and
Margaret Pratt on May 22nd, 1934.
Gwen excelled in retail as a handbag and hosiery buyer for May Co. and C.H. Baker stores, culminating her career as a Vice President Divisional Merchandise Manager for
Bergner’s/ Boston Store/ Carson Pirie Scott. She enjoyed reading, antiquing and spending time with family.
Gwen is survived by her daughter Tess Scott of Bloomington, Illinois, and daughter Linda Vance of
Towanda, Illinois, her grandchildren Sarah Flick, Zachary Scott, Staton Scott, Kambria Ledesma, Kiara Christenson, and Marcus Scott, her great-grandchildren Jonas Flick, Fiona Flick, Augustus Ledesma and Edison Ledesma. She is preceded in death by husband Martin, sister Margaret and brother Bill.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Aasta Assisted Living Facility of Camarillo, and Godspeak Calvary Chapel of Thousand Oaks.
Private services will be held in Illinois at a later date.
