Sara Kettenburg, 35, of Ventura, CA, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. Born on October 31, 1989, Sara brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.
Sara attended the ARC Day Program where she was cherished by her teachers, staff, and the many friends she made. She had a contagious zest for life and a sweet spirit that touched everyone she met.
Sara had a passion for scary movies, especially the Twilight saga. She also enjoyed watching Stranger Things and The Walking Dead on repeat. Every. Single. Day. Sara had a unique way of expressing her admiration for firefighters, often insisting on being picked up off the floor by them because she found them "so cute."
Sara's life was impacted by Prader Willi Syndrome, a condition that presented her with challenges such as low muscle tone, which delayed her ability to walk until the age of five. Despite these obstacles, Sara's love for food, particularly breakfast burritos, McDonald's, pasta, and "cumasters" (cucumbers), remained a constant source of joy and comfort.
Sara is survived by her loving mother, Teri Hilton; her brother, Tony Hilton; and her sister, Kristin Malicse.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held Thursday evening, February 13, 2025 from 4 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
