David E. Richardson, age 64, of Tewksbury, formerly of Woburn and Reading, passed away peacefully at the Lowell General Hospital on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
He was the beloved husband of Ellen E. (McCarthy) Richardson, with whom he celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on September 12, 2024.
Born in Cambridge on October 6, 1960, he was the son of the late Donald B. Richardson and the late Marilyn F. (Hand) Richardson.
David was raised in Reading, attended Reading schools and graduated from Reading High School in 1978.
Prior to his illness, he was employed for many years as an Information Technology Director by the Putnam Investments Company.
In his spare time, he enjoyed puzzles, classic automobiles, and loved playing golf at many area golf courses.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn E. Carroll and her husband Patrick, of Tewksbury: his grandson, Robin David Carroll, of Tewksbury: two brothers, Donald Richardson and his wife Donna, of Atkinson, NH and Steven Richardson, of Myrtle Beach, SC. He leaves many extended family members, friends and colleagues.
Calling hours are Monday, January 27th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Tuesday, January 28th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by funeral services to be held at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover Street, Route 133, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made online to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org
