With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn (Crowley) (Pearson) Zannini, 84, a lifelong resident of Lowell, MA. Carolyn passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton, MA. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, David E. Zannini, who passed away in June 2023.
Carolyn, daughter of the late George W. Crowley and Ethel (Willman) Crowley, was born on July 23, 1940, in Lowell, MA. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High in 1958. Carolyn married David Zannini in 1977 and they were married for 46 years. Together, they went on countless adventures, shared a compatible sense of humor, and worked hard to turn their goals into reality. They were also long-time members of All Saints Parish.
Carolyn had an unmatched work ethic and was a natural at sales. She had success selling several different products including Avon, Jafra, and Tupperware. However, her true passion was selling Real Estate. Carolyn went on to enjoy a long and successful career as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker.
Carolyn was fun-loving, quick to laugh, and was always willing to try new things. She was a talented painter and enjoyed ceramics and snowshoeing. She loved music and dancing. She was adventurous and age never got in her way, even learning to ski in her 50s.
Carolyn enjoyed spending time at her property in New Hampshire, working on the cabin she built with her husband David. She relished the hands-on work of building their dream home and deeply enjoyed designing the cabin, including the finer details such as cabinet placement and what color to stain the floor. It was a labor of love for them both. While there was always work to do and a new project to conquer, she also found a peaceful enjoyment there. "Up-country" was her retreat and viewing Mount Moosilauke from the deck of the cabin brought her great joy. Carolyn was also an animal lover and delighted in the company of her pets, which often accompanied them “up North.”
Carolyn is survived by her children and their spouses: James Pearson and his wife Kimberly, Carolyn J. Pearson, and Michael J. Pearson. Stepchildren, David E. Zannini Jr., Tami Rivard and her husband Jeffrey, Tony (Zannini) Johnson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Jim Pearson, Keely DeChristopher, Hannah Lowney, Alyse Pearson, Jared Rivard, Lauren Krainchich, Joshua Rivard, Timothy Rivard, Megan Rivard, Nicholas Zannini and eight great-grandchildren: Ava and Eve Lowney; Fiona and Dylan DeChristopher; Brayden Rivard; Cora and James Rivard; and Eloise Krainchich.
She was predeceased by her brother George Crowley and her sister Linda Louise (Crowley) Corrales.
