Donald “Stoney” Lee Stonebraker, 75, of Marion Center, PA (Deckers Point) passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at his home.
The son of John “Joe” R. and Betty J. (White) Stonebraker, he was born on September 10, 1949 in Indiana, PA.
Don was a graduate of Marion Center High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1971 during Vietnam
Don married Connie (Goss) Stonebraker and was very saddened by her unexpected passing on February 27, 2023.
He worked as a fabricator at Greensteel for forty-five years. A very dependable and loyal employee, he never called off and truly loved his job. After retirement, Don loved organizing the Greensteel employee reunions twice a year. He was also employed by Stoney’s Tire Shop in Deckers Point for many years.
Don was a people person, who greatly enjoyed talking to whomever he met. He enjoyed going to yard sales and thrifting: meeting with friends at restaurant and attending car shows, where he would show his pride and joy, his 2005 yellow Mustang.
Don was a very kind hearted, polite man He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his two daughters: Lisa Mumau and husband DJ of Marion Center, PA and Julie Stockdill and husband Bob of Ford City, PA; his seven grandchildren: Desiree Campbell; Breanna Mumau; Madison Mumau; Michaela Boarts: Tanner Stockdill; Rachel Stockdill and Miles Stockdill; his three great-grandchildren: Rilee; Blaine and Brooklyn; his five siblings: Robert Stonebraker and wife Nancy; Judy Bernard and husband Leo; David “Mike” Stonebraker and JoAnn Goss and husband Terry, all of Marion Center, PA.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie and his brother, Rick Stonebraker.
