Mr. Francis C. "Frank" Murphy, 77, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2025, at his home in Cape Neddick, ME. Born in Boston on June 3, 1947, he was the son of the late Francis and Susie (Brosig) Murphy. Upon Frank's graduation from Charlestown High School, he enlisted in the military. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving honorably in the United States Air Force, where he earned the rank of Staff Seargent while stationed on a B-52. Upon returning home Frank worked at Raytheon for over 30 years on the Patriot Missile Systems. He joined the Pelham Fire Department where he worked from 1987 until his retirement as a Lieutenant in 2010. Never one to rest, he moved to Maine and got a part time job working at Home Depot in Portsmouth, NH. Frank enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. Along with his parents Frank was also predeceased by his wife, and first love, Brenda (Sykes) Murphy, and two brothers: William and Ronald Murphy. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy (DeLisle Cowan) Murphy of Cape Neddick, ME, two daughters: Coleen and her husband Alexander "Alex" Voulgaris of Dracut, MA, Amy and her husband Shaun Hamilton of Pelham, NH, two sons: Francis "Frank" Murphy Jr. and his wife Brenda of Dracut, MA, and Stephen Murphy and his wife Leah of Suncook, NH. His in-laws Robert and Penny Deschene, Carol and Paul Starner, Patricia Hanson, Robert and Mary Sykes, and Dee Dee Murphy. Two sisters: Sue Ann Prata and Maureen Murphy and one brother Thomas Murphy. There are nine grandchildren: Kirsten, Joshua and his wife Stephanie, Nicolas and his wife Ashley, Matthew, Adam, Megan, Connor, Liam and Fern. Three great-grandchildren: Kyle, Everly, and Clara as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
