Daisy Joiner Chaney entered into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the age of 83. She was reunited in Heaven with her parents: Jeff and Willie Mae Joiner; a daughter: Karen Chaney Paul; a brother: Bobby Joiner; and a sister: Myrtle Rowe.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. Harold Barnes and the Rev. David Rowe officiating. The interment will follow at the Lax Holiness Cemetery, in Coffee County. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5PM until 7 PM, at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Surviving loved ones are her husband of 66 years: J.T. Chaney; three children: David (Sandra) Chaney, Janice Williams, Timothy (Holly) Chaney; a son-in-law: Charles Paul; five grandchildren: Tiffany (Kyle) Coleman, John Mark (Brittany) Chaney, Samuel Williams, Rebekah (Dave) Miller and Ben Chaney; six great-grandchildren: Ashton Coleman, Audrey Coleman, Morgan Chaney, Bryson Chaney, Braelyn Chaney, and Analea Coleman; siblings: Linda (Phillip) Knowles, LeRoy (Betty) Joiner, Glynn (Pam) Joiner, and Katherine Mizell; many other relatives, friends and church family.
Daisy was born December 3, 1941 in Coffee County, Georgia to Thomas Jefferson “Jeff” and Willie Mae McNatt Joiner. As a child, she attended Temper School and Coffee County High School.
Daisy met her husband, J.T. Chaney, in May of 1958. Five months later they married on October 17, 1958 and had a good life together. Their’s was a match truly made in heaven and their marriage was blessed with four children.
Although she spent most of her time as a homemaker, she briefly worked as a seamstress at Irwin Manufacturing in Ocilla, Georgia. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Daisy also deeply loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was an devout member of Willacoochee Holiness Baptist Church in Willacoochee, Georgia where she participated along side several of her family members. Her Christian faith was central to her life and she was a devoted follower of Christ.
We rejoice in the promise of eternal life as she is now at peace in the arms of her Savior and in His light we find comfort.
