Obituary

Concetta “Connie” McEachern (Buonopane) passed away on January 16, 2025. She was 90 years old.

Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. To some she was known as Connie but to most she was a Grammy. She had an avid fan of crossword puzzles, ceramics and mostly cooking. Her house was always filled with family on Sunday’s and holidays for a big Italian supper. There was always more than enough food, love and laughter to go around and you never left the house hungry.

Connie worked at the company Triangle Inc. for over 30 years until her retirement in 2009.

She was married to the late William McEachern. They lived on Harvard Street in Malden where they lived for many years and raised their three sons.

Connie was the daughter of the late Sabatino and Marie (Abbiero) Buonopane. She was the loving mother of Edward McEachern and his companion Linda of Chelmsford, John McEachern and his wife Peggy of Everett and the late Paul McEachern. Connie is survived by her siblings: Mary Saccardo, Lucy Sheehan, Pat Buonopane, Ernie Buonopane, Sonny Buonopane and the late Anna Toth, Gloria Webb and Rose Webb. She was Grammy to five grandchildren: Brittany, Emily, Michael, Eric, Amanda, and a great grandmother of five. Connie was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews and so many loving friends and will be missed dearly and forever remembered.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Connie’s life will be held at Saint Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden on Monday January 27th at 11:00am.
