Jack T. Luong, 60, of Rutland passed away Monday, January 20th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He has a lovely family; his wife married for 38 years, Sandra Sjauw; three children, Jessica Luong and his boyfriend, Matt Laskowski of Pasadena, CA, Quinn Luong and his wife, Stephanie Li of Mountlake Terrace, WA, and Ryan Luong of Rutland; two brothers, Stephen Luong and his wife, Linh Luu of Webster, and Huy Luong and his wife, Mai Ta of Worcester; two sisters, Linda Luong and her husband, Luc To of CA, and Lily Luong and her husband, Hung Vo of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Saigon, Vietnam the son of Michael Luong and Mui Lu and immigrated to the United States in 1979. Jack was a dedicated and hardworking man, who worked for Spectrum for over 26 years as a processing technician, where he was known for his expertise, professionalism, and friendly demeanor.
Jack had a passion for understanding how mechanical tools work and took great pride in fixing almost anything. A devoted football fan, Jack looked cheering on his favorite team and sharing the excitement of the game with family and friends.
Above all, Jack cherished time spent with his family. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering support made him a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. His family and loved ones will forever hold dear the memories of the laughter, love, and joy he brought into their lives.
Jack’s legacy of dedication, passion, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and always fondly remembered.
Calling hours are Sunday, January 26th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
