BRISTOL ---- Thomas W. Sheerin, Sr., 86, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Laconia Rehabilitation Center-Genesis.
Thomas was born September 11, 1938, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the only child of Thomas F. and Albina (Nicolas) Sheerin. He graduated from the Worcester Vocational High School where he learned carpentry. He later had a carpentry business with his son, Thomas Sheerin, Jr.
In 1982, he finished building and moved to his “retirement” home in New Hampton with his late wife, Marion. Together they became “snowbirds” and spent their winters in Florida. During the summers he was an installer for Granite State Glass and still did some carpentry on the side. In his younger years, he and friends loved to drag race and often won these races. Tom enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and fishing when he was able. His greatest treasure was family and especially time spent with his grandchildren.
Thomas is survived by his three sons, Kevin (Rose) Sheerin, Thomas (Jody) Sheerin, Jr., and Billy Sheerin; daughter, “Cindy” Sheerin; 7 grandchildren: Lynn Sheerin, Melissa Sheerin, Kayla Coraluzzo-Sheerin, William “C.J.” Maltese-Sheerin, Matthew Ryan, Ashley Paquin, Brandon Sheerin and several great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be held privately, at a later date.
