Joyce M Kinney, 81, died January 17th 2025, at home surrounded by family following a long illness. She was born in Manchester, NH on March 12th 1943, the daughter of Habib and Jennie (Stephen) Nassoura.
She worked at Osram Sylvania in Manchester for 30 years, retiring in 2001.
A few years after she retired, she became a grandmother, a role that she thoroughly supported, adored and took great pride in. She enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally with friends and family. She was a lover of Mexican food which was usually paired with a Margarita or fruity Sangria. She was also known to frequent a casino or two trying her luck with the slots, playing Bingo or a card game around her kitchen table. One of her most amazing traits was the ability to grow anything whether it be a vegetables, flowers, cactuses, or orchids her thumb was the greenest of anyone we knew. Her love of reading and the beach flourished while spending summers at Lake Winnipesaukee. She cultivated numerous friendships spanning decades which is evident by the enormous outpouring of love and support we have received from so many people.
Family members include her son John Kinney and his partner (Frank DiFlorio) of Boston MA., two daughters; Robin Kinney and her partner (June Frechette) of Manchester NH, Tracy Kinney and her grandson Ethan Kinney both of Milford NH. She also leaves behind her sister Janice Philibotte of Manchester NH. Plus, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a wonderful group of brothers-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s.
She was predeceased by both of her parents, and her husband of 60 years John Kinney

Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 26th, 2025 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester NH
Committal prayers will be held on Monday, January 27th, 2025 at 12:00pm in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen NH.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 601 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN., 38105.
