Betty Jeanne (Caplis) 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 18, 2025, at D’Youville Life & Wellness Community. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Schneider, who predeceased her in 2016 after 34 years of marriage.
Born on June 23, 1946, in Woburn, MA. Betty Jeanne was the daughter of the late James M. Caplis and Florence S. (Airey) Caplis. She grew up in Woburn, attended local schools, and graduated from Woburn Memorial High School.
Betty made her home in Tewksbury in 1976 where she resided for 49 years. She was employed at Precision Robotics Inc. for many years and then had a long career at Spincraft/Standex in Billerica MA, where she was a valued employee until her retirement in 2021.
Betty had a passion for live music and loved attending performances, which brought her immense joy.
Betty loved watching sports, especially the Patriots and Bruins games at her favorite establishments, T.J Callahan's, John Ryan's Pub and St Anthony's in Woburn. She was a joy for all to be around especially when she would cheerfully call out her excitement with her personal
I-Eee, I-Eee cheer!
She was an active member of her community and cherished spending time with her friends, family, and her beloved cat, Ziggy. The beach held a special place in her heart, and she especially enjoyed visiting Hampton Beach, Plum Island and Old Orchard Beach.
She leaves behind her two children: Coleen Cadger, and partner Claude W Brown Jr of Lowell and Jason Cadger and his wife Janine of Dracut. She was the proud grandmother of Dakota Ward, Shane Ward, and Damon Ward, and the adoring newly born great grand daughter Juniper Ward.
Betty is also survived by her sister, Priscila Cudoni, and her husband Emilio “Butch” of Woburn, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her siblings, Jimmy Caplis, Marie Balestrieri and Thomas Caplis
You are welcome to attend her calling hours from 2pm until 4pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Her funeral service will take place in the funeral home at the conclusion of her calling hours at 4pm on Saturday. Burial will take place privately.
