Obituary

Bryan Francis Xavier Mathaisel, 73, of Millis formerly of Westwood died January 17 at his home after a long hard battle with Pancreatic Cancer surround by his loved ones. He was the husband of Patricia E. (Wooster) Mathaisel for the past 40 years.

Born in Boston, January 12,1952, the son of the late Bernard V. and Adelaide (Jablonsky) Mathaisel, Bryan was raised in Chestnut Hill and had lived in Westwood for 37 years before moving to Millis in 2020.

Bryan was a graduate of Newton North High School and also a graduate of Boston College.

Bryan had been a driver for the United Parcel Service for over 25 years before his retirement.

He loved driving his beloved mustang. He also enjoyed being at the family home in New Hampshire, dancing, gardening and being with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Bryan F.X. Mathaisel Jr. of South Windsor, Connecticut and Holly M. Webster of Norwood.
He is also survived by his siblings, Dennis F.X. Mathaisel of Concord, Barbara Lee of Little Diamond Island, Maine. He was the brother of the late Joan Fontecchio of Needham and Bernard Mathaisel of Corona Del Mar , California.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bryan F.X. Mathaisel III, Lillian Grace Mathaisel and Steven C. Webster, Jr.

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 24 in St. Joseph Church, Medway at 10:00.

Burial will be in New Westwood Cemetery, Westwood.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, January 23 from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home ginleyfuneralhomes.com 3 Barber Street, Medway.
