STEEP FALLS- Beatrice “Bea” Ann Fortin, age 79, passed away January 15, 2025, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. Bea was born June 29, 1945, in Portland, Maine to parents George and Susan (Sanborn) Meserve. She attended and graduated from Sebago Lake High School. She married the love of her life Alfred Fortin Sr., she had 4 children; Michelle, Alfred Jr., Richard and Cherie. She enjoyed spending her time with family, researching genealogy in Parsonsfield; often visiting local cemeteries to put the pieces together, discovering landmarks, crafting, coloring, painting, fishing, dancing, loving on her many cats, and community building! In her working years, Bea worked for Sebago Shoe in Westbrook, she worked as a Tupperware demonstrator and was also proudly the president of the Richville Library in Standish. Bea is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Fortin Sr., 2 of her children- Richard and Cherie, her stepson Joey Fortin, her parents, her grandparents, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children- Alfred Fortin Jr. (Tony) and his wife Katrina Fortin of Naples, Maine, Michelle Berry and her husband Joe Berry of Casco, Maine, her stepdaughter Robin, her former daughter-in-law Terry, her grandchildren- Anthony, Jacob, Justin, Rebecca, John-Paul, Jessica, Crystal, Nicholas, Brandon, and Chelsea, she is also survived by her 16 great grandchildren, and many more loving family members. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2025, from 4-6 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Rd (Rt.22) in Buxton, ME.
