Laura Beatrice Branch, 91, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died January 15, 2025, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Baptist Church, in which Mrs. Bea was a member, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, on Saturday at 2 PM with Troy Stanford officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mrs. Bea was born April 13, 1933, in Berrien County, Georgia, to the late Chestley Reuben Stanford & Susie Luke Stanford. She worked with Berrien County Hospital as a dietary clerk. Mrs. Bea never met a stranger. She loved music and enjoyed dancing and visiting the Po Bo Opry in Fitzgerald often. She enjoyed caring for her flowers in the garden and watching the butterflies fly around them. Every morning, she would read her Bible, serving the Lord daily.
She is survived by her children: Donnie Branch & Kathy, Jesse Branch & Linda, Darrell Branch, Gary Branch & Ann Dale and Obie Branch; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Stanford; a sister, Gerline Stanford and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters, and her daughter Norma Jean Branch.
