Obituary

NORTHFIELD ---- Lynn Margaret (Auclair) Goupil, 68, of Haggett Farm Road, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Concord Hospital in Concord surrounded by her loving family.

Lynn was born on August 2, 1956, in Manchester, the only daughter of Albert and Margaret (O’Lally) Auclair. She attended Laconia High School where she made some lifelong friends.

She enjoyed being outdoors and living a rural life. From getting out on the big lake in her little boat when she was a teen, camping at a private campground in Warren, NH, making maple syrup in her sap house, and tending her garden, she always gave back to the land. A lover of animals, she kept bird feeders out all year and volunteered at a local animal shelter. Before her passing, she adopted a young kitten in need to be a companion for her aging 17-year-old cat, Tipsy.

Lynn looked forward to music festivals, being a fan of Blues music and Joe Bonamassa in particular. She often wanted experiences with her family over material things, and this led to a number of outdoor concerts, escape room experiences, as well as wine and paint nights.

However, one possession ranked highest amongst any other: her Mini Cooper, Winifred. A stick shift sports car that she took out in the summers, it was her personal escape and to be on the road with the top down. Trips up the Kancamagus, and down to York Beach, she enjoyed the freedom it provided, and she took immaculate care of it.

Lynn was constantly in service to other people, even in her work. She worked many years in retail, often as a manager, and even started her own cleaning business. She enjoyed being fashionable in her own way, giving out gag gifts to make people laugh and loved to decorate the house for her family around the holidays. She wanted other people to feel at ease whenever she was around. She also donated to many charities whenever there was money to spare.

Remaining to cherish Lynn’s memory are her beloved husband Leon, sons Thomas and Christopher, and granddaughter Melissa.

At this time there will be no services.
