It is with great sadness that the family of Theodore “Ted” F. Simmons announce his unexpected passing in Bryantville, MA on December 29th , 2024, at the age of 69. Ted is predeceased by his parents, Pauline (French) and Earle. Ted will be sadly missed by his wife, Karen; stepson, Jason Billings; step-grandchildren, Kayla, Emily, and Mykenzi; brothers, Raymond and Steven (Janet). He was the retired Vice President of the Earle F. Simmons Co, Inc. of Hanover, and a very talented heavy equipment operator.
Ted’s life was a testament to his passions and talents. From a young age, he was in love with motorcycles, becoming an avid Harley Davidson rider. His journey on two wheels began with riding dirt bikes around the family gravel pit, sparking a lifelong love for motorcycles.
Ted amazed friends, family, and even complete strangers with his natural musical talent. Despite not being able to read sheet music, he could play the piano beautifully and was also skilled on the drums. His love for music was as profound as his love for motorcycles.
Animals held a special place in Ted’s heart throughout his life. He had many German Shepherd dogs, who were his constant companions, often seen riding in the back seat of his pickup truck. His bond with his dogs was a testament to his caring and loving nature.
As one person aptly put it, “Ted was one of the good guys, always friendly with a smile.” His warmth, kindness, and passion for life left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Ted will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A burial will take place at a later date at Center Cemetery, 45 Oldham Street, Pembroke, MA 02359.
